Àngel Martí Callau was born in July 1966 in L'Ametlla de Mar, into a family with a seafaring tradition, which marks his work. He holds a Higher Diploma in Criminology, a Master's degree in Public and Private Security and a  Degree as a Technician in Civil Protection and Emergency Management and works as a civil servant at Ametlla de Mar City Council, which he combines with his passion, writing.

Although he began writing at a very young age, especially poetry, it was not until 2012 that he decided to publish. Curiously the first work to see the light of day was a novel. He then joined the Poetes de l'Ebre and Calacultura associations. He is currently a member of Poems in the Wind, the Dillums d'Arts al Forn collective, AELC and vice-president of the Ateneu Calero.

He writes novels, short stories and, especially, poetry of a clearly intimate nature, predominating in his verses lovelessness and vindication, and which has led him to several awards in literary prizes.

He has been an anchor at La Cala RTV, hosting two  Cultural programs: Absenta and Cultura en Barra, and he is also a member of a poetic-musical duet along Enric Franch, "Versus A Cors". He regularly participates in poetry recitals, especially solidarity, poetry meetings throughout the territory and from 2014 to 2019 he was part of the team that organized the Vila de l'Ametlla de Mar Literary Prize, the Poetry in the streets Night  Literary Prize and the Calacultura Literary Vermouths, as he also acts as a cultural dynamizer.
